Big Herdsman’s “Zoned Precision Ventilation Technology for Broiler Cage Houses” Wins First Prize in Shandong Province Innovation Competition

Recently, in a prestigious competition hosted by the Shandong Provincial Animal Husbandry Station, Big Herdsman’s independently developed and jointly tested “Zoned Precision Ventilation Technology” for broiler cage houses won first prize among numerous innovative solutions.  This accolade marks another critical breakthrough for Big Herdsman in the field of healthy and efficient poultry farming technologies.

Industry pain points are the starting point of technological innovation.” In the field of large-scale cage-reared broiler farming, the long-standing issue of three-dimensional temperature differentials—from top to bottom, left to right, front to back, and even between the inside and outside of cages—has been a key bottleneck limiting improvements in farming efficiency.  To address this challenge, Cao Shutao, Director of the BBU R&D Department at Qingdao Big Herdsman, together with his team and

Thanks to its forward-thinking design and outstanding practical effectiveness, this solution stood out among many entries in the “Shandong Poultry Healthy and Efficient Farming Technology Innovation Competition” organized by the Shandong Provincial Animal Husbandry Station. After several rounds of rigorous evaluation, it ultimately won First Prize.This provincial-level award not only serves as authoritative recognition of Big Herdsman’s technological innovation capabilities but also reaffirms its leading position in the field of livestock and poultry farming equipment.

Redefining Environmental Control Standards through Spatial Temperature Uniformity

Under traditional ventilation models, uneven environmental conditions inside poultry houses often lead to inconsistent bird growth and increased feed

Innovation 1: Zoned Smart Control to Eliminate Macro-Level Differences

Air inlets are divided into 3 sections, 6 zones, and 12 control groups. Each group operates independently based on real-time temperature, simulating intelligent air conditioning vents.

Innovation 2: In-Cage Ventilation to Solve Micro-Level Challenges

Dedicated fans inside cages expel heat and harmful gases, ensuring actual in-cage temperature matches what birds experience.
